The North America Tsvetnaya Bolonka Club (NATBC), a voluntary non-profit (application pending) association operating in accordance with the laws of Delaware, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania is officially recognized as the sole registry for the Russian toy companion dog, the Russian Tsvetnaya Bolonka in the United States.

Records on all breedings, litters whelped, individual registrations, transfers, leases, etc. are maintained at the NATBC's headquarters in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.  The NATBC seeks to establish a rigid identification system in accordance with FSS standards of the American Kennel Club in order to establish the Russian Tsvetnaya Bolonka as a recognized and creditable toy companion breed  eventually to be recognized by the AKC in the United States.  It is also a primary concern and goal of the NATBC to promote the improvement and development of the Russian Tsvetnaya Bolonka breed through maintenance of pedigree and studbook records.

After many conversations with the AKC representatives guiding rare breeds, it was decided that, while awaiting the level of numbers in the breed required by the AKC for admittance, the NATBC would proceed, as many rare breed clubs do, with its own registry. By working with the AKC and bringing our organization and recordkeeping as closely in line with that required by the AKC, when it is time to apply we will be in compliance with their requirements.
